Lane Gorman Trubitt, PLLC (LGT) welcomes new leadership with two significant promotions in August. Shea Kracheck, a tax professional, and Jon Wellington, a state and local tax specialist, have both been promoted to principals of the tax services department at LGT.
“LGT’s success has always been based on the team efforts of our people. Inevitably, any change in leadership will take us in new directions and I am eager to see where that will be,” said Bob Knight, partner at LGT.
Mrs. Kracheck joined LGT in 2004 while finishing her BS in accounting at the University of North Texas. She graduated Cum Laude in 2005 and has served in the LGT tax department ever since. She has extensive tax experience with an emphasis in both the Construction and Real Estate industries.
“I am so thrilled to begin my new role as Principal of Tax Services,” said Shea Kracheck. “I have been with LGT since college and have truly enjoyed growing with the firm. I believe LGT is one of the best places to work and cannot wait to see what we can do together in the future.”
Mr. Wellington has served over 17 years working as a licensed attorney and nine of those years having been specifically engaged in public accounting with several national firms. He is responsible for state and local tax matters including audit defense, income and franchise tax planning, sales and use tax consulting, nexus reviews, telecommunication tax and property tax minimization. Wellington has particular expertise in general contracting, sub-contracting, oil and gas, telecom, multistate retail and wholesale and not-for-profit.
“I am excited to step into my new role as the principal of assurance services,” said Wellington. “I am honored to represent LGT and will continue to serve our client base in my new role.”
In addition to Kracheck and Wellington’s new titles, LGT recently promoted several other employees. In the accounting and consulting services department, Maureen Vignaux became a Staff II employee; Donna Nuernberg was promoted to Manager; and Samuel Varkey was appointed as Senior Manager. In the assurance services department, Megan Barron became a Paraprofessional; Ryan Meineke, Callie Nixon, Elliot Nolan and Sarah Wait developed into a Staff II employee; Eric Lockett, Samantha Hogue and Clint Marchetta graduated to Senior I; Maisie Horner, Maura Noonan, Ryan Parish and Kyle Pacheco advanced to Supervising Seniors; Reed Crow and Erica Tang are now Managers; and Emily George progressed to a Senior Manager. In the tax department, Nicole Ansiaux, Jonathan Cook and Marissa Ha became Staff II employees; Becky Saylor, Jennifer Wangner and Whitney Gordon were promoted to Senior I; and Denver Todd, Thalia Mancera and Tony Zerr are now Supervising Seniors.
LGT proudly promotes all employees knowing that they will strengthen the firm and help to support our clients by understanding all their current and potential needs.
