Best Practices from a Managing Partner

Written by LGT Staff | Sep 2, 2020

Every year Accounting Today releases a list of the year’s managing partner elite. Lane Gorman Trubitt is excited to announce that Lee Ann Collins, managing partner at LGT, made the list.

Every year the managing partner elite are evaluated by the same parameters of sustainable firm growth, strategic planning, diversity and inclusion, cultivating a strong culture, and innovation in technology and processes, but this year they looked at how each managing partner is handling the current unique circumstances, like addressing social unrest and police brutality against a backdrop of the national COVID-19 pandemic.

Collins leadership over the last five years has seen a revenue increase of 15% when she took over the position in 2015. In 2020, the firm has found new ways to assist their clients and community as the economic landscape continues to change.

I am dedicated to creating an atmosphere for our clients and employees that is inclusive, diverse, fair, trustworthy, and profitable. We can do this because we treat each other as if we are family

Lee Ann Collins, CPA, Managing Partner

LGT’s managing partner is not just looking at how to help the firm’s clients, she is resolute in protecting the firm’s employees. More than 75% of the firm was quickly and efficiently transferred to work from home, and those that couldn’t were given a safe, clean, and socially-distanced space in which to work.

Collins keeps her eye toward the future and, like the rest of us, is excited and anxious to get back to face-to-face quarterly staff meetings and sharing meals with our clients and friends.
