Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve worked diligently to keep you informed about developments that affect you and your business. Late Sunday evening, Judge Clay Jenkins communicated out a shelter-in-place order for all of Dallas County, except for select essential businesses through at least April 3, 2020.
Until the order is lifted, our building will be closed to the public. While we are considered an essential business, we will continue to service our clients remotely, with a minimum staff at our office location. This is for the safety of our employees and clients.
All of us at LGT are deeply grateful for the continued trust and support provided by our clients and all those in our communities. We understand that all of you are experiencing a similar disruption in your services, and we want you know that we are here to help. Now more than ever, we all stand by our mission to help people achieve extraordinary outcomes.
Due to this ordinance, we will have to adjust some of our services. Please see below for the LGT service changes:
- For our tax clients, we are continuing to work remotely and assure you that we are preparing and completing tax returns. If possible, our plan is to send your tax returns to you electronically. You will also need to return all e-file authorizations electronically. Remember that the IRS has extended the April 15th deadlines for federal tax filings and payments until July 15th. Please reach out to your LGT advisor for assistance on these and any other matters.
- For our assurance and consulting clients, similar to services for our tax clients, our assurance and consulting professionals are also working remotely to ensure continuity on your engagements. In this time of uncertainty, know that we remain focused on completing your audits, reviews, compilations, and consulting services to help you put your best foot forward and bring you peace of mind. Please continue to communicate via email regularly with your LGT advisor, and utilize Suralink, as applicable, on your engagement. Please reach out for assistance with these and any other electronic solutions.
- Since our office staff is limited, if possible, we ask that our clients share things with us electronically through SafeSend. SafeSend is our file-sharing feature that sends secure, encrypted files directly to your LGT advisor. You may access SafeSend several ways including visiting this link: https://portal.safesend.com/18910287/DropOff.aspx, visiting the LGT website and clicking on the “SafeSend” link at the top of the page, or accessing it through the link in your LGT advisor’s signature block.
- Regarding packages and mail, if deliveries are required, packages can be left with our building security. Building security will leave our packages in a secure environment. We will have personnel checking for packages and mail on a limited basis throughout the week. If you have questions, please contact Mary Guidry at mguidry@lgt-cpa.com.
Again, we know this situation is and remains very fluid. We encourage all of our LGT friends and family to reach out for guidance. Above all else, please stay safe and healthy.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our professionals for tax and consulting guidance.
