As one of the leaders of our Not-for-Profit Group, Babita Sherchan has more than 15 years of experience in auditing not-for-profit organizations, government entities, and schools. Her extensive knowledge includes not only conducting but also supervising multiple audits, agreed-upon procedures, and attestations up to the report issuance and presentation. Dedicated to developing responsible and well-trained staff, Babita assists in recruiting and creating training materials tailored to the team’s needs. Additionally, she serves as an instructor or discussion leader in the firm’s professional development
programs, fostering a collaborative learning environment that encourages continuous growth among team members. Through her vast experience and commitment to staff development, Babita contributes significantly to the firm’s success and the professional advancement of its employees.

"The things I love the most about LGT are the people and the culture. Every day I feel grateful to be working alongside so many talented and kind people. I spend most of my time working with not-for-profit clients, and it gives me purpose to work with so many amazing organizations with the mission to make the world a better place for everyone."

Babita's Favorites

• Favorite Hobby: "I love the outdoors. I live close to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, so I like hiking - specifically on their natural surface trails which have lots of shaded areas that you can enjoy even on hot summer days. Lately, I have enjoyed taking my 16-month-old daughter to the neighborhood park and watch her explore the playground." 
• Favorite Food: "I am a foodie and love varieties of cuisine, but if I had to pick, I would say Thai food, fries, and Momos (Nepalese dumplings).
• Favorite Sports Teams: "Tennis is my favorite sport, and I love watching the four Grand Slams. Back when I lived in Boston, I used to be a huge Celtics fan, but since I moved to Texas I haven't been keeping up with them."
• Favorite Place Traveled: "Thailand would be one of my favorite places that I have travelled mainly because I love Thai food, and they also have amazing beaches." 
  
• Favorite Musical Artist: "I like listening to everything, just depends on how I am feeling."
